The facilities at Hollin Rigg have been adapted to enable cows to be brought to the surgery for this work but �fresh transfer� can also be carried out on-farm when requested.
A unique �repeat breeder� service operates whereby payment is based on a positive pregnancy diagnosis only. An embryo is implanted into problem cows 7 days after oestrus. Usually a beef cross embryo is used but dairy breed embryos are also available. All enquiries are welcome - please ask to speak to Mr John Watkinson. An ultra-sound scanner is used in all aspects of bovine fertility work including embryo transfer.
