We try to stock as many medicines on the shelf to meet immediate demand but for larger orders we would appreciate a day or two notice.We do receive daily deliveries from our wholesaler.
Please note that the storage regulations for fridge items mean that we cannot accept return vaccine for example, so you must give us accurate numbers for these types of product.
We will dispense at any time on request but please note that out of hours emergency dispensing will attract extra costs so it behoves you to think ahead and stock a small amount of your own emergency medicines. e.g.Calcium
Our present fee:medicine structure reflects an effort to balance the pharmacy derived income across the whole of our 24/7/365 services and between all our clientele.
It is not a perfect system (what is?) but without pharmacy derived income a rural practice would need fees to rise dramatically and subscription charges for out of hours availability would need to be levied.
Dispensing charges for small amounts of Medicines, telephone advice etc would all attract higher charges.
It is a topic poorly understood by many farmers but JLW is happy to discuss with any client on request.
